A Typical Sunday Service

A typical Sunday service begins with a quiet time for meditation as worshippers enter the sanctuary.  Ushers provide a friendly greeting and offer the bulletin which provides the order of the service.  We have no dress code, and people wear a variety of clothing styles.  We make announcements before the actual service begins with a prelude as the acolytes light the altar candles.

Children remain in the sanctuary with their family until after the Children's Moment when they are dismissed to Sunday School.

Communion is served on the first Sunday of each month, and on special dates including Easter and Christmas.

The service concludes with a benediction followed by the traditional playing of chimes while the acolytes extinguish the altar candles.  We then have time for fellowship and coffee/tea/juice on most Sundays.

Children enjoy coffe hour too!

Our church has a rich life...

We publish a monthly newsletter called The Channel.  It is mailed to all of our members and friends.

We offer various Bible Studies throughout the year at the church.  Watch for details.

We have many opportunities for fellowship:

A Senior Fellowship group meets every Tuesday.
We participate in a church softball league during the summer.
Homemade Pies - Homemade rhubarb and apple pies are prepared and frozen in season.  This project fosters fellowship among a dedicated group of women, as well as being a fundraiser for the church.

Hymn of the Month - The Music & Worship committee often chooses a relatively unfamiliar hymn for us to practice every Sunday for a whole  month.

Cleaning up after coffee hour provides a time for fellowship too.

Fundraising

We enjoy fellowship while raising funds for our church...selling root beer floats at the Art Fair...parking cars on July 4th.
